December 2nd journal

Journal - Where are you right now on your "Who Do You Think You Are" project? What did you do over the break for the project? Did you interview anyone? Use the checklist below to figure out what you have finished, what you are still working on and what you still have to do.

I am still on the 25 questions for my parents i have a couple more questions for my mom that I have to finish and then I will move on to the email. yes I interviewed my mom and my dad.  i have finished the questions for my dad and I am still doing my mom's questions and I working on the questions and then I still have to do the email etc.

Journal - How did you stop motion animation turn out? If you could give it a grade, what would you give it out of 60 points? What did you learn from creating this video?

it turned out good. I have  to put on movie maker first. maybe a 58 out of 60 and that this project was so much fun and it was a really easy project.

I planning on taking pictures of leaves. and take some pictures of trees by them. with different poses. my video will be fun because of the caption of the video is Fall. and its gonna be a different because somebody probably hasn't done that before.  one of my friends. ethier today or tomorrow.

not that far on my motion pictures. and I tried working with some trees to take a motion pictures of it and also me kicking the leaves or throwing the leaves up in the air.  No i will not but i will have them done  by tonight.

Journal - What photo editing tool(s) have you used so far on your 5 photos project? Do you like the tool? Is it easy to use? Hard to use? What's good about it? Whats bad about it? Give a detailed review of the tool.

i have only used one of them. and ya i do. Its easier to use then others. that you can edit it a lot faster and its kinda hard to figure out how to edit. I really like the tool its a lot easier than what it looks like.

Journal - What are the pros and cons to photo editing? What are some examples of when photo editing is fun and appropriate? When can photo editing be inappropriate or too much?


the pros are to have the best way to edit photos and the cons are its sometimes hard to edit photos. In a Presentation or a power point. on a website when you are using different kinds of websites such as like Prezi.

The cooltoolsforschools.com  that website is amazing. because its a lot easier than google like prezi and all of that. Its super easy then just typing in prezi and etc it will help with presentations etc.

Journal- What did you do this weekend?
On Friday I went to a friends house and Thursday as well. Then Friday night my Sister In Law and my Brother and my Niece and Nephew came up. And then Saturday I hung out with my family. Then on Saturday night I went to a wedding my Sister In Laws twin got married. Then Sunday i went to church with my family and then we went to Fortune Wok for lunch hung out then my sister and law a brother and my niece and nephew left. then i drove my golf cart around my neighborhood. Then i went to the movies with my friend.

Journal - What makes a presentation memorable? What makes a presentation stand out and not boring? How are you going to make your presentation better than anyone else? How will you make it unique? Explain.

you have to make it look really good has in presentation. To make it look presentable and not look boring to have clear sentences. For me I would make look presentable and to have good sentences and pictures as well. I will have it look very good pretension.

Journal - What did you learn from the Ted Talk yesterday? Did you find it interesting or accurate? Explain.

That electronics are so easy to get a hold of and for you to use and to distract you from doing your homework and everything else. For me i am attached to my I Phone 5 it is hard to loose my phone or get it taken away because i am on my phone 24/7 everyday. And I found the Ted Talk Interesting because its a lot easier to get distracted when using your phone and its a lot easier to get distracted with your phone then working on homework.

Journal - What do you love about the "digital age" that we currently live in? What do you dislike about it? What are positives ways you use technology in your life? What are some things that come along with technology that you don't like? Explain.

i have never really looked in to the digital age and i don't know that much about it. When the seniors go to college we use a lot of technology and also in class we do you use technology as well. I don't like that the computer or your phone is always slow. Also and the computer shutting down.

Journal - Tell me about your Homecoming weekend (whether you went to the activities or not!). Tell me about what you did over the weekend.

Well Friday night i went to the football game. We lost but that's OK. Also Friday night i spent the night at my friends house after the game and had a spend the night. Then Saturday morning we relaxed until 1 or 2 and my friends cousin did her hair and her cousin did my hair as well. and then we put our homecoming dresses on and took pictures and then went to California pizza kitchen for dinner and then we went to the dance until 11 and then Sunday I slept in and hung out with my friend.  

Journal - What do you know about infographics? What do you know about them? What are their purpose?

i know that they are stuff you write on and not a whole lot. But that's all I know about them its information you write on for information or data. The purpose of it is to help write it out and to know it.

today i am going to the BV game and Saturday i am going to do chores then i am going to a bonfire and Sunday i have church going out to lunch then i have to go to a concert thing at my church.

Journal - Most students view siting work as 'a pain in the butt'. How do you feel about it? Is it necessary? When is it appropriate to cite work? What's the importance of it?


i thinks its important to use for papers and power points to have cites on your computer for your paper. and yes its necessary because its a lot easier than just not doing it at all. in a paper on a power point etc. to have the website their and not to have it citing is very helpful to use and have.  

Journal - What is your favorite book, magazine, or publication? Why? 

my favorite magazine is seventeen magazine. why because it fits for teen girls. and also it helps me look at fashion and makeup advice and clothing advice and also boy advice too. i think its great magazine and one day hopefully maybe in the next two or three years  i would love to be in seventeen magazine. this magazine helps me out so much. 

Journal - Do you enjoy writing? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why is writing an essential skill in life? How will you use this skill in the future?

i do enjoy writing a lot and i enjoy journal writing its a lot easier than just doing different types of writing. to do good at what you do in writing. when i get a job or when i get my own house or even when i go to collage. 

Journal - What is creating an outline for a paper important? Do you think it helps you personally? How would you prefer to outline a paper - pen and paper or an online tool? Is there a different way you know if that would prefer to organize your thoughts?

it is important to outline a paper because they make sure its neat and nice and yes it does. i think an online tool would help. no i think it would help to do one thing at a time. because then you know how to do it more less than not doing it at all.

Friday i hung out with my family went to dinner. then Saturday i went to Joplin with my family and i went to my niece and nephews birthday party. I hung out with my family and there was a carnival there really small carnival. then we went brothers house and then went to dinner then left. Sunday i went to church and then went to lunch and then after lunch did homework.    

Journal - Who do you look up to in life? Why? What have they done to help you or guide you?

I look up to my sister Breanna.  She is my best friend and my sister she has helped me threw everything i have gone threw since i have been threw everything that happened last year to a long time ago she is my best friend. i look up to her a lot. 
She has help me threw everything like boys etc. she has guided me to be an independent strong christian woman. i respect my sister so much. i appreciate  her for being there for me threw everything she is my inspiration. 

Journal - What is good email etiquette and why is it essential in the "real" world? How can having good email etiquette put you ahead? 

To be very price in your email write it very well and don't just write one sentence. Its essential in the real world because then people know how to write an email and its good for collage and in high school too and when you into jobs too. when you have a good email for the real world then you know how to write an email properly.

Cyber Bullying. The reason i choose this topic is because i feel like cyber bullying is very hurtful and a lot of people get hurt of what people say online. i have been cyber bullied myself it hurts my feelings a lot. My background knowledge is that people need to know to stop cyber bullying people can get there feelings hurt. Stop Cyber Bullying.  What i hope to learn about this topic is to front forward i think people should stop cyber Bullying and do something else with people who are doing cyber bullying. People should go out and play basketball go to the park don't cyber bullying words hurt. 

Journal - If there was one big global issue in the world that you could fix, what would it be? A cure for cancer? Save the rain forest? Stop pollution? Think about it and then write about it. Why would you choose that specific issue? 

i think issue is to fix is environment.  I think i would choose this issue because some people don't clean up the environment they don't have enough energy to clean up and people do that sometime. but i think this is a serious issue.

my hobbies are horsebackriding,singing and dancing.  all of these hobbies are my favorite.  I spend my free time with my family and at home and singing dancing and horsebackriding.  My favorite movie is despicable me, my TV show is Psych or the office, my favorite magazine is seventeen magazine.

Journal - What are some qualities of a good presentation? How can you make a boring presentation interesting? Explain.

Make into a nice and neat presentation and have nice font and good speaking don't speak like a robot. good qualities to have our working hard on your presentation doing a good job on it having to speak clearly. trying to make a presentation that you can do your best. every time i do presentations they are either good or they do really bad.  i think speak clearly have a good written presentation.  having just to do good on the presentation.

• Explain how daily journals work and write your first post.

this quote means to me is that i am not better than anyone else i am not perfect at all no one is. I take this advice as a lesson for me to be who i am and who i am going to be in life. I love this advice that Ashton Kutcher's quote means a lot to me. I take this advice as a life lesson. people need to take this advice and learn from it. 

Journal - After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

i learned that there is more to people being famous people being snobby and mean and also nice a thoughtful.  but at the same time this advice helps me a lot to know that i am who i am i am confident because i am confident. people judge people because people want to judge people that's not right. i take this advice because this helps me feel confident about my self.
